Afternoon Tea at the Sanderson Hotel in London

We were kindly invited to sample the Mad Hatter’s afternoon tea at the Sanderson Hotel. The Sanderson Hotel, part of the Morgans Hotel Group, is  a 5 Star Hotel located just North of Oxford Street in London. Despite the very cold weather that we have experienced so far this spring, we were very lucky to visit on a sunny day when we could sit outside and take full advantage of the wonderful courtyard. We started the festivities by sipping a glass of Laurent Perrier Champagne whilst admiring the original decor which is a landmark of the Sanderson. The afternoon tea itself was an extravaganza of flavoured teas, delicate sandwiches, quiche, meringue, sweet and savoury scones, mushroom marshmallows, colourful jelly, cheese cake and delicious “drink me” potion.

Service was extremely attentive. We enjoyed one of the best table of the courtyard, just by the water feature and it created a very peaceful environment. Staff were very receptive, responding with a smile to required adjustments to outside parasol heaters and offering options as to timing of course drinks etc. Good personal touch as well whereby we were able to build a good rapport with the member of staff which was allocated to us.
